Background
Marketed as a “research chemical,” The Drops offers a unique and intriguing experience (hypothetically, of course). The brand needed to convey a sense of wonder and discovery without directly suggesting any specific uses. Our task was to create a brand that speaks to the imagination of potential “researchers” through vibrant colors, bold shapes, and engaging illustrations, inviting them to explore “purely scientific” possibilities.
Challenges
The main challenge? Designing a brand that captures the excitement and sensory potential of The Drops without openly encouraging “non-research” uses. We needed a design that sparks curiosity and feels immersive, while humorously leaning into its research-only labeling. Every element—from labels to packaging to the website—had to maintain this playful balance, encouraging a sense of exploration while aligning with its official positioning.
Outcome
The Drops brand is colorful, playful, and a bit cheeky. Custom illustrations and dynamic visuals set the tone for a “research experience” that feels exciting and immersive, capturing the product’s spirit in a way that speaks to the imagination of its audience. The packaging, stickers, and landing page bring The Drops to life as an intriguing product “for scientific study,” sparking curiosity and inspiration in the minds of its “researchers.” StudioKAV delivered a brand that stands out, inviting exploration in a way that’s both vibrant and subtly humorous.
